About The Author

E. H. Hartland was born in Durham City, North East England in December 1946. She went to school there and trained as a hairdresser afterwards. She met her husband in 1967 and introduced him to horses and riding. They married in 1968 and had two sons before moving to Newcastle—to a bigger house. Then after a few, they became tired of town life and decided to move to the country. They bought a small holding on the edge of the Durham Dales  where they had horses and raised sheep.

After losing both her parents, Hartland decided to train as a reflexologist and start her own business as a therapist.
