A Glimmer of Gold in the Fog

What would happen if the world discovered that the beginning of the best years of your life are when you retire at the age of 62. These are the years that are filled with adventure, romance, enterprise, and even fortune.
This story follows Jon as he travels across the country to see what life holds. In a few short months, he finds the love of his life, fame, and fortune. He is even taken to the White House where he and his new love are guests of the president and his dignitaries.
When tragedy strikes, it is a means to strike, just as gold is discovered where vegetables once grew and flourished. However, Jon finds out that one cannot outrun fate or destiny.
We all have days that are dull and dreary. Those are part of life, but perhaps, even those darks have a glimmer of gold piercing through the fog outside the window.
