In 1968 after the 6-day war, the Polish communist government practically exiled the Jews, Adam, a young cardiologist went to New York and Claire younger Jewish girl, whom he loved, married and left for France. The hasty marriage ended in divorce. The story of exile I told by Adam who is obsessed with love and after a few years is able to persuade Claire to join him in New York. They live happily for two years but afterward, Claire leaves for beloved France and the other man. Adam is disconsolate, but after a few years, he meets his true love, a girl, who was exiled and came to New York at the same time as Adam.
