Raindrops Fall

When your whole world begins to fall apart, and you’re on the third floor of a rickety old building, what is the best thing you can do?  Leap from the window into the rain and the darkness?  Absolutely!  Whatever happened would be better than what would have happened if she did not jump.

Actually, Trish Morgan had a lot farther to go than to the wet yard in the rain.  There would be help along the way, but she did not know that yet.  She had a mission, and the leap from the window was just the beginning.
