This book may not tell the exact scenario that actually is happening there. Each and every word that had been written is based from her love towards a country that she never had been before. Islam had moved her fingers and mind to mobilize towards them and share this dawah for everyone regardless of their backgrounds. Falling in love with someone that you’ve never met and recognize is truly mounting on the next level.
It is a book that promises difference in the art of writing which triggers a possibility in the history of Islam. This book was accounting the past event of the heritage of the Islamic generation that takes place from Palestine to the new land in Canada. The writer brings the event and situation of the war that was striking Muslims in their land, and yet expanding nearly in most countries. The story was written mostly from a memory-based of a survivor who managed to escape from her dark times with her Baba. However, this has caused some extreme trauma and fear in her study life in Canada. As for the aftermath, she tried her best to fit in with some friends that showed their Islamophobic in their norms but things went upside down.
The writer did not only tell the story about Fatimah who was being fought harshly from Melody and Christina. It also tells the journey of Sarah reverting to Islam. Being the brilliant student who was actively doing her research on Al-Quran and Hadis privately and secretly had lighten the burdens in her heart all along. She knew that being jahil was suffocating for most people that triggers some knowledge towards His Light. Sarah was really blessed for the Hidayah she had. May the light keeps shining in her until the end.
