About The Author
Sunnie Day was born and raised in a rural farm in Oklahoma. Her family had been very poor and sometimes did not have enough to eat. She spent all her time working on her chores and had a limited time to play. They had no electricity, no phone, no computer, no radio, no indoor toilet, and no running water. She would do her homework by lamplight. They cooked on a woodfire stove and slept outside on hot summers because thee was no air conditioning. It was a rough life, but there was a lot of love in their family.
