About The Author

Uva Shakes was born a Christian. Her mother spent time in church, singing on the choir and doing solos while she was pregnant with Uva. In quiet moments, she still hears those songs ringing in her ears. The songs were saturated with life, laughter, faith, hope, and especially the love of God. This created, in her, an appetite for loving God at a very early age.

Uva’s career path has led her through hospitals, the community, insurance companies, and working with veterans. In serving her patients, her passion for caring for those who hurt the most, remained a priority.
